Overview
Mimecast works to:
- Safeguard sensitive information while ensuring privacy and the security of the WWCC networks
- Protect against potential email threats such as phishing attempts, malware, and other potential cyber
- attacks
- Reduce the amount of spam in campus mailboxes
Steps
Here's additional information on "Enrolling your device" and "Checking caught or held emails."
- Mimecast requires you to enroll devices to access message links.
- Device Enrollment Message will appear whenever your email is checked from a different device or whenever the browser's cache is cleared
- Enter your WWCC email address in the box
- Enrolling a device is part of the Targeted Threat Protection from Mimecast includes attachment and URL scanning for malicious content to protect the WWCC Network
A code will be sent to the WWCC email address from WWCC Mimecast Alerts
Your Device was enrolled successfully Message appears
- NOTE: When the cache or cookies are cleared, the device will need to be enrolled again
You have new held messages
- When message are "caught" or "held," this message appears in your school email
- Click on Personal Portal or use the sso.wwcc.edu - My apps page
- A daily digest of messages caught as spam appears in your inbox
- Messages may be released
If there is an email that is being held and the email is NOT visible in the Mimecast list of new held messages
Please submit a Help Desk ticket, the message queue is constantly monitored and messages are released if appropriate.
