Overview
This knowledge base article will show you the steps to check and perform Windows Updates on your machine.
Steps
1. Open the Start menu by clicking the blue Windows icon next to the search bar, then select Settings (the gear icon).
2. Once you’re in Settings, click Windows Update on the left-hand side.
3. Click Check for updates. If updates appear, select Install all. Please toggle the "Get the latest updates as soon as they're available" button to the ON position.
IMPORTANT
Some updates may cause your screen to flicker or your laptop/desktop to make noises or fan speed up fast—this is normal. Please allow the updates to finish completely. Once finished, you will either be prompted to restart your computer, or the updates will show as Complete.
