Oh no! You found a potential phishing email. Now what? We're going to take a deep dive into how to report a phishing email Using Outlook App, Web, and on Mac.
Steps
Using the Desktop Outlook App
- Open the desktop outlook app
- Go to the Home tab
- Click on the suspected phising email but DO NOT click on any links or open any extensions!
- On the far right of the Home tab, locate the "Phish Alert Report" button
- Click on the "Phish Alert Report" button

- If the information suggests that the email is a phishing attempt, click on "Phish Alert"

Using Outlook Over the Web
- Click on the suspected phising email but DO NOT click on any links or open any extensions!
- Locate the hook icon in the top right corner of the email
- Click on the hook icon labeled "Phish Alert Report"

- If the information suggests that the email is a phishing attempt, click on "Phish Alert"

Using Outlook on a Mac Device
- Click on the suspected phising email but DO NOT click on any links or open any extensions!
- In the Home Tab
- To the far right there will be an ellipsis
- Click on the ellipsis

- Click on the "Phish Alert" button
Using Mobile Device
- Tap on the suspected email but DO NOT tap on any links or open any extensions!
- In the top right of the email their will be ellipsis
- Tap on the ellipsis

- You will see an option called "Phish Alert"
- Tap on "Phish Alert"
- If the information suggests that the email is a phishing attempt, tap on 'Mobile Phish Alert"
