Library Checkout Laptops

Overview 

You checked out a library laptop. Now what? Let's get started with setting up your account!   

Steps

1. Turn the computer

  • Select United States as Country/Region

2.  Keyboard Layout 

  • Click on US and Yes
  • Select Skip for Second layout box 

3. Connect your laptop to the WIFI (if on campus, follow the steps below)

  • Click on "WWCC-WIFI"
  • Please use your NetID and NetID password to connect
  • Click on Next

4. Checking for Updates

  • After the updates are complete click accept to the "License Agreement"

5. Name your laptop

  • Select "Skip for now"

6. How would you like to set up this device?

  • Click on "Set up for work and school"

7. Let's set things up for your work or school

  • Select on "Sign-In options"
  • Then click on "Domain Join instead"

8. Who is going to use this device?

  • Enter your name
  • DO NOT click on the online account, it is not necessary.

9. Important information

  • PLEASE CREATE A PASSWORD YOU WILL REMEMBER
  • Tech Services WILL NOT be able to reset the password if it is forgotten

10. Create a password for your account

  • It will have you confirm your password

11. Now let's add security questions

  • It will prompt you for 3 questions, this is a required field, Click on Next
  • Select Accept for "Choose privacy settings for your device"

12. Windows Updates will begin

  • After the updates are complete your laptop will be ready to use!

 

Troubleshooting

If you are experiencing no wifi networks showing up when setting up your laptop please return it to Technology Services.
