ctcLink/Canvas - Adding Authentication Methods

Overview 

Want to add or update your security method for ctcLink/Canvas? Check out this article to learn how to do so. 

Steps

• Navigate to wwcc.edu
• Click on Login and find and click the link that reads "ctcLink Desktop" 
  
  
   
• Login using your ctcLink ID and password
  
  
   
• You may be prompted to select a school, please choose Walla Walla Communty College
   
• You'll land on page called "ctcLink Gateway." Find the box that reads "Manage Okta Account Settings" and click on Okta Portal.
  
  
   
• On the top-right corner of the "My Apps" page you will see your name with a down arrow. Please click on your name in the top-right corner of your screen and select "Settings."
  
  
   
• Now that we are in the settings page please find the "Security Methods" section. All 5 security methods will be listed there. From here you are able to add the method of your choosing. 
  
  

Recommendations

Due to SMS not being secure or reliable, we recommend choosing at least two methods of authentication.

• Our top pick is downloading the app Okta Verify on your phone.
  
  

Note: Okta app does not store personal information nor does it make your device discoverable to public requests. 

Alternate methods

• Google Authenticator app on your phone is also a great option. 

• Technology Services can also provide a security token if you are not able to download an app on your phone.
